NDE file

It might be a good idea to put some of the more interesting or unusual NDEs in one place so proponents can discuss their implications.

I'd class this as spiritual intervention in acute trauma, not unlike the crashed pilot who believed he received assistance 'angelically'.

The "implications" are enormous. Sometimes I think....have I got it wrong, then I go back and look again at some of the cases and I think no, I did get it right

Yes, the too good to be true prohibition is one we have to be wary of. It can be as dangerous as unwitting acceptance in analysing the evidence. It doesn't help our assessment when the testimony is mediated with dramatic reconstructions and portentous music, but cases like this are in the record and need negotiating.

No, my mistake. Let this thread die and continue in OS.
But the OS thread is just for posting videos, not for discussing them. It would be appropriate to continue the discussion here of some of the more interesting NDEs.

Good point. Shall we see if this attracts discussion before abandoning it? I'm keen to form some kind of taxonomy of NDE cases, because there appear to be consistencies as well as 'exotic' examples. Ones that involve inexplicable interventions are particularly interesting. In this case, the futility of attempting to interact with the living which many OBE/NDE experiencers report, appears not to be the case, or can we hazard a guess that the dead husband's form was somehow allowed to show itself? His passivity would suggest that might be a theory. Some (many?) crisis apparitions have a passive element in their appearance, or offer mundane greetings or gestures.

Agreed, music and drama is candy floss. We need to always stick to the facts and personally I've made my judgement about NDE's based on thirty years of reading veridical cases, going over them again and again and trying to see if I can make a case for them being hallucinations or fabrications etc. I simply can't ..and therefore I must accept that they are what they appear to be.

Sorry to stray slightly, but has anyone noticed the consistency of people wearing "robes with a rope belt/rope around the waist" in NDEs? Something I always found interesting.

(PS: I'm not strictly 'new', my former ID was wiped when the boards went haywire).

It varies, some report robes, others ordinary clothes in the early OBE stages. Also interesting is the way pre-deceased relatives and friends appear at their peak of vitality, or even better than they ever were if there were physical or health problems.
