The Natural Afterlife / Never-Ending Experience Model

I hate not knowing, and I suppose I would not purport that I do know any better than anybody else. I think the preponderance of evidence favors something like what I've described. But can studies be replicated in a controlled way? Not really. Is the mechanism by which NDEers have the experiences...

The Natural Afterlife / Never-Ending Experience Model

Hi, all, The afterlife is fascinating to me. I believe that Bryan Ehlmann proposes a model here that merges the various lines of evidence quite nicely: https://philarchive.org/archive/EHLTTO A more user-friendly summary here...

The problem with the DMT explanation for NDEs....

I haven't thought about this before, but it makes perfect sense. After all, fear of death is a big part of what keeps us alive (in my opinion). It is purely a biological drive, I suppose. But you are correct, I think, that if we were all to count on a pleasant, hallucinogenic death experience...

The problem with the DMT explanation for NDEs....

....is that it does not work. The pineal gland would need to produce 1000xs as much DMT in a few minutes as it usually produces melatonin in a typical day to explain the affects of an NDE...

    ---Introduce yourself---

Hello, all, I am a proud cat dad, recently exposed to the remarkable research into the "past life memories" of children conducted by Dr. Jim Tucker at UVa (previously, Dr. Ian Stevenson), and since corroborated by Erlander Harroldson and others. This led me down the rabbit-hole of learning...
