Famous Last Words

Most people are familiar with Steve Jobs' final words, which suggested some kind of surprise and awe. I was looking at a summary of Dudley Moore's life, and it seems his last words as recorded by a long time friend who was holding his hand, were,
"I can hear the music all around me."
Eartha Kitt was also said to talk to old friends who were deceased in her final days: http://www.skeptiko-forum.com/threads/captain-bob-thread.809/page-5#post-20114

Any other cases of death bed perception?

According to Dr. Joel Funk, a professor of psychology at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, about 50% of near-death experiencers hear music during their NDE. They describe this music mostly as "music with a beautiful, floating sound." Dr. Funk played various kinds of music for 60 near-death experiencers and found that they identified New Age style synthesized music as nearest to what they had heard during their NDE. Dr. Funk comments, "Some people burst into tears when they recognize the music of their NDEs."

This is from a nurse's forum discussion on palliative care:

i spoke to a terminally ill patient that heard music that was not auditable to others. he stated he heard “twelve days of christmas”, another song by johnny cash, and three other songs over and over in his head until he knew all the words to the song. a psychiatrist was called in to interview him. but he was adamant that he heard the music.
