Sarah Westall, Trafficking/Blackmail Cycle of Evil |410|

What do you think the ordinary people of Iraq and Afghanistan and many others feel about their ‘kids at pop concerts’ being bombed shitless?
I think we need an end of wars - hence Trump
A pervasive sense of guilt and self-hatred is a core feature of liberalism.
Yes, and I'm afraid while guilt is useful at a personal level, it seems to motivate terrible ideas in politics.
For these reasons, I conclude that there was no blackmail honey pot intel op involving Epstein and that is probably true of most of the other pedo blackmail conspiracy scenarios.
I think that may be pushing the logic a bit too far. Epstein's parties may have attracted the attention of the deep-state folks who would dearly love to blackmail well placed people. One way to do that would be to smuggle someone into those parties with a miniature camera. Epstein was obviously being extremely reckless because a large number of people must have known of misbehaviour, and plenty must have felt disgust.

David,
I don't know, but I still think my argument stands. Any blackmail arising from those parties would impact everyone if the target resisted and the blackmailer pulled the trigger; everyone; Epstein, Clintons, anyone else there. In fact, I don't need to speculate in part. Now that it's out, it is going to impact a lot of people. These people are smart enough to know the risk of a general revelation if they saw blackmail involved. Also, I ask again, given the people he would have been messing with, why is he still alive? IMO, he wouldn't be.

I have no doubt that Epstein would sell info for the right price to an intel agency. I'm sure everything is for sale with that guy. But lifting the lid on his lifestyle? No. The whole shebang would be put down (again, what has happened).

I reiterate that the only reason to believe the pedophilia went beyond Epstein is the stories from the girls. The girls are getting multi $million settlements. They have motive to inflate the truth. Dershowitz is getting evidence unsealed that he says will exonerate him; from the girls' own mouths (they admit they were making up the Dershowitz portion of the story, apparently, in their own words on social media). So the whole pedo "ring", grooming, blackmail angle is all pure speculation and media hype at this point.

You would know a wider definition of war because you are a revolutionary waging the internal war against American society. You want presidents brought down by Epstein? Why so eager? You don't want Jihadis bombed? You warm up to socialist countries and oppressive regimes like Iran? Yep. Noted.[/QU

Eric,
Your black and white brand of neoconservative politics was best suited for the 1980s. Give me a couple years and I will build you a time machine.

Actually, if the US stopped meddling and offering support (i.e. no more NATO) the European countries could easily settle amicably with Russia. I'd be delighted if Trump were ever able to dissolve NATO - it adds enormously to our danger.

No IMHO the reason we should fear that crowd is that they are utterly insincere and just see politics as a personal game.

For example, I'm straight, but if I were gay, I'd have found the atmosphere in the UK perfectly acceptable decades ago. I have talked to one gay man I know, and he basically agreed with me. Everyone more or less got on, but now I can imagine a backlash on the horizon. People hate homosexuality being taught in schools - particularly to young children - and they are particularly uneasy with the idea of encouraging children who identify as trans to start that process off - before they have even gone through puberty. That is an abomination, and I have even seen suggestions that the puberty blockers they use may be carcinogenic. These politicians will just rampage on doing more and more extreme things until they cause real trouble, when they will slink away and leave society to pick up the pieces.

David
Ilhan Omar sees politics as a personal game? Are you daft? She is an immigrant. She is earnest. I don't know if there is a more geuniune PERSON in the entire country.

And I know plenty of people that were not exactly happy with ONLY heterosexuality being taught in schools. When a few urban schools make some chances middle aged white man act like the world is ending.

But I didn't come on here to get in political fights with the far-right. I'll let the men with muscles duke it out. Signing off.

Why do you single out middle aged white men when (I think) you really mean "some heterosexuals"?

I would just like to say that I think the adjective "far" when used to describe political positions right or left is often used as a micro-agression, to imply someone with a different opinion is necessarily an extremist.

And I am shocked to see racial and sexist stereotypes used on these forums.

Can the moderator please have a look at this thread and take what ever action is appropriate?

Jim, this post has me shaking my head. It’s bizarre. Actually it’s not, it’s just another example of hypocrisy/ bias.

What about reading what people say? Maybe then you might see some more extremist viewpoints in plain sight! Rather than hints.

I strongly disagree with much of what Eric says, I think his views are best described as disturbing. Others too. But I want to hear them! I don’t get offended by hearing them. Presumably you’re not bothered by such views? I think, if you were being even-handed, you’d have been screaming for the moderators long ago!

Please stow your fake offence. I feel a little sick.

We live & learn.

Well look, I am a UK citizen, so it is not easy to talk about individual Democrat politicians, but I am staggered that after a 3 year investigation into President Trump that came out with no grounds to impeach him, the Democrats immediately demanded fresh investigations.

Can you imagine how awful it would be to be treated like that - under criminal investigation for that length of time? Can you imagine how much more awful it must have been to suffer that while performing the very demanding job of President of the US, with none of the respect that is normally granted to such a person?

Crystal, I used to support the Democrats, we toasted when Obama got in - he was a refreshing change from Bush 2, I was also pleased when he won a second time because I didn't trust his opponent, but it was in his second term, with Hillary as Secretary of State that things went horribly wrong. There was the destabilising of Syria (known at the time as providing help to freedom loving opponents of President Assad) that brought that country to its knees, and there was also the attacks to get rid of Gadaffi that left Libya in a possible even worse state (yes, I know the UK helped). Now we have Trump, and he hasn't behaved like that, he even nixed a plan to attack Iran in response to the downing of that drone - because he is, I believe, a man of peace.

Political parties can gradually change their policies but keep their names. It fools people for a while.

I still wonder if Obama really wanted Hillary to behave like that, but the fact is, he let that happen on his watch - two countries smashed up, and The Ukraine was also damaged - probably partially as a result of US meddling under Obama, and the trouble may take years to heal.

As regards homosexuality, I strongly suspect that children who feel they might be gay, would rather read about the subject in private on the internet, than be taught about it in class with their peers - kids can be very cruel if they suspect someone of being different. It is horribly easy to wade into delicate problems with heavy handed political enthusiasm, and do far more harm than good.

People need to take a look at AOC's chief of staff, Chakrabarti. He was her main supporter in the election and now sits behind her (and controls her, IMO). He's the "curry breath" I referred to. He's a foreigner that made $millions in the tech industry. He just (last week) came out and admitted, in an interview, that the Green New Deal and hyped fears over climate change (that AOC repeats) were a sham; something to scare people into action. The real goal, he says, is to change the entire US economy. Those are his words, recorded, coming out of his mouth; not a conspiracy theory trying to read between the lines, connect vague dots, etc. He is a major figure in the "Justice Democrats" and other similar groups that also support Omar, Tlaib and a few other anti_American radicals. It is their stated goal to get such people elected. This is all readily available info. Just Google it. Again, it's their own words, not conspiracy imaginings.

IMO - my conspiracy theory - is that these neo-socialists are actually being paid by Soros and foreign governments to destroy the US. Chakrabarti is an enemy of our way of life and AOC., Omar, etc are his useful idiot foot soldiers. Of course Chakrabarti is a probably lieutenant working for some foreign higher ups. Fortunately, the democrat party has gone so insane that they will be voted out in 2020 - and the revelation that the GND was a scam is probably the final nail in their already closed and sealed coffin.

That is what is so crazy nowadays - we are labelled 'far right' for supporting Trump because he does his best to avoid war!

Do you even realise what the Left stood for decades ago? Avoiding war was a major component of their message. Now we have Hillary (and remember the democrats chose to support her) offering the public a new big escalation of the war in Syria.

In that topsy turvy politics, I guess I must accept the label 'far right' with pride!

Why do you think you are included David? I don’t think you are far right. Are there any people ‘of the left’ on the forum? Will they admit it? Being a socialist at heart (I think) is enough to get me called all sorts.

I prefer to talk issues rather than Left-Right. I don't know if Crystal meant to include me - but I suppose I tend to stand up for President Trump!

The trouble with socialism, I think, is that it isn't stable. People use it to take control and shut up others. The whole 'political correctness ' thing seems to be about stifling perfectly valid discussions. Controlling the discussion is a powerful tool.

It’s all so mixed up now. Not all socialists want to ‘shut up others’, I certainly don’t. Is Jim a socialist?

I can see this being used by the right to shut down conversations on the left, as in the anti-semitism nonsense with the Labour Party. The left are so gullible they fall for it. That’s something I recognise about ‘the left’ - really annoying.

We are coming close to agreeing!

As far as I can see, Jews should not enjoy their own carefully crafted definition of racism as applied to them alone - racism should mean racism. As far as I can tell, at least some of the row in the Labour Party has to do with people objecting to the actions of Israel, or of bankers (etc) who happen to be Jews. That is not racist, by any reasonable definition, but it may in certain cases be wrong-headed.

That does not negate my earlier comment that I have rather come to see Israel's point of view.

At a slightly deeper level, I don't think terms like racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, are well defined at all. For example it is commonplace for the BBC (say) to pour scorn on straight middle aged white men - which includes me and probably you too. Neither of us could have avoided that description, and by using terms like that, the BBC (and others) are themselves being racist.

I fear that loose talk like that could actually stoke racial tensions - but hopefully fewer and fewer people are actually listening to the BBC.

Economic sanctions kill. And the hardship from sanctions is felt mostly by civilians because the rulers and military will take priority when resources become scarce.
