Well look, I am a UK citizen, so it is not easy to talk about individual Democrat politicians, but I am staggered that after a 3 year investigation into President Trump that came out with no grounds to impeach him, the Democrats immediately demanded fresh investigations.
Can you imagine how awful it would be to be treated like that - under criminal investigation for that length of time? Can you imagine how much more awful it must have been to suffer that while performing the very demanding job of President of the US, with none of the respect that is normally granted to such a person?
Crystal, I used to support the Democrats, we toasted when Obama got in - he was a refreshing change from Bush 2, I was also pleased when he won a second time because I didn't trust his opponent, but it was in his second term, with Hillary as Secretary of State that things went horribly wrong. There was the destabilising of Syria (known at the time as providing help to freedom loving opponents of President Assad) that brought that country to its knees, and there was also the attacks to get rid of Gadaffi that left Libya in a possible even worse state (yes, I know the UK helped). Now we have Trump, and he hasn't behaved like that, he even nixed a plan to attack Iran in response to the downing of that drone - because he is, I believe, a man of peace.
Political parties can gradually change their policies but keep their names. It fools people for a while.
I still wonder if Obama really wanted Hillary to behave like that, but the fact is, he let that happen on his watch - two countries smashed up, and The Ukraine was also damaged - probably partially as a result of US meddling under Obama, and the trouble may take years to heal.
As regards homosexuality, I strongly suspect that children who feel they might be gay, would rather read about the subject in private on the internet, than be taught about it in class with their peers - kids can be very cruel if they suspect someone of being different. It is horribly easy to wade into delicate problems with heavy handed political enthusiasm, and do far more harm than good.
