Sheldrake/blakemore debate



Sheldrake makes a good point about mechanistic metaphors essentially bringing in vitalism.

I think vitalism as a concept may need to be altered, perhaps into some kind of teleological principle, but it may still have some role to play in explaining organisms.

Or maybe I just feel that way because I'm partial to druids in fantasy games...

IMO, only Tomb Raider was ever any good (at least the first few episodes).

As for Sheldrake pissing off Dennet during question time, my view is that the truth often does piss off twerps like him, so well done Rupert! ;)
