I read some of these on at least a semi-regular basis.
duffelblog.com "satire" - duffleblog is like a military oriented version of "The Onion". It's pure humor and, yes, satire. Duh! It's caused me to laugh out loud on many occasions. The would be censors have no sense of humor? I guess it is wrong to laugh when there's so much injustice in the world!
Breitbart?, thefederalistpapers.org ? ,
rt.com "unreliable"?
Why isn't CNN on the list? Or the NY Times? WAPO? How many retractions have those guys been forced to make recently? And that's only a fraction of the retractions they
should have made. And talk about bias! If conspiracy theory gets you on the list, then I'd say that almost the entire mainstream media, except The Hill, Fox News and Breitbart belong on it for going off the deep end with the Russian collusion idiocy - and the democrat party along with them.
Ah! I see now.....
....The Poynter Institute seems to be a leftist organization. It is affiliated with the likes of ""Snopes" and "Politifact" - both of which are heavily Marxist leaning. They probably hired similarly addled college kids to compile the list of targeted sites; that or some programmer spilled too much curry sauce into the AI code that was developed to tease out those who might oppose the glorious revolution. They appear to have withdrawn the list. Skeptiko can breath easy for the moment. BTW, I was unaware that Skeptiko had advertisers. More evidence of faulty brains and/or AI behind the Poynter list formulation.
"In 2019, Poynter used various "
fake news" databases (including those curated by the
Annenberg Public Policy Center,
Merrimack College,
PolitiFact, and
Snopes) to compile a list of over 515 news websites that it labeled "unreliable." Poynter called on advertisers to "
blacklist" the sites on the list. The list included conservative news websites such as the
Washington Examiner,
The Washington Free Beacon, and
The Daily Signal. After backlash, Poynter retracted the list, citing "weaknesses in the methodology."
[7] Poynter issued a statement saying "We regret that we failed to ensure that the data was rigorous before publication, and apologize for the confusion and agitation caused by its publication."

They always accuse others of the evil that they, themselves, are doing.
