That was a very good discussion - not least because nobody hogged the microphone!

You mentioned Sheldrake and the fact that he is a Christian. Having communicated with RS on a fair number of occasions by email, and hearing him talk about it, I have come to understand it like this:
My feeling is that RS feels the spiritual value of a group of people engaging in a ceremony of some sort - somewhat regardless of what religion it is - so he participates in his local church. I.e. he doesn't really integrate Christianity into his philosophical ideas.

I very much liked the story about the woman with Alzheimer's who was visited by a psychic.

I thought Alex's explanation of Pizzagate was interesting - I hadn't realised that some of those emails linked Podesta with Dennis Hassert. Alex, as you pointed outpointed out, it is inconceivable Podesta would write a friendly remark about the spirit cooking to DH!!! I felt Rob didn't want to believe Pizzagate, but you put the case very cogently - probably the better than I have heard it before.

Can you supply the quote from the emails?

Comparing David Icke's assertion that Covid-19 has not been isolated to "flat earth" was unfair.

I think Alex still does not understand how Covid-19 and HIV have not been isolated, and are instead a set of symptoms, not a specific virus.

I think he very much does. Particularly through Alfred North Whitehead's process philosophy and theology. It's the bedrock of Sheldrake's metaphysical musings, really, and I'm not sure how much would be left if you took it away.

Well that is hardly standard C of E teaching! I mean, he goes to Church for the sake of the shared spirituality.

Incidentally, I didn't mean that as a criticism of Sheldrake, whom I greatly admire.

again, we're just looking at threads of evidence, but the larger picture is quite convincing.
