What happened to the missing forums?

There seem to be at least two forums that disappeared overnight (well, it was night here in NZ). I don't see an announcement.

What happened to all the posts and on-going discussions? Have they been moved to other forums or just deleted?

Hey all. It's Chuck.

I'd like to take a crack at hosting an open, honest, "user ruled" forum. I don't have a podcast, but we can still discuss the same issues we discuss here. I'd like to have a forum were we all have a voice in how the forum is run and what moderation looks like.

Check it out. If we can get enough users I think we can still have some interesting discussions. New install so there will be bumps in the road.

Alex welcome as well of course. Everyone should be welcome.

Why don't some of the more senior members of this forum have a serious discussion with Alex and try to form a resolution. Each forum division can be assigned to a member and he can, through Alex or by himself/herself if possible, arrange for interviews, meaning that skeptiko will have a host of podcast members each assigned to his area of expertise, who will conduct interviews live and post them on the site. I have some members in mind, like Chotki and Philemon on Christian religion and spiritual experiences, Max on Consciousness Studies, Arouet and Stephen Wright on Materialism in Popular culture etc. Can this actually be done or am I just engaging in wishful thinking.
