Chill out thread

[Michael Larkin]

I'm delighted to see that we can embed media frames on our new forum. I thought it might be a nice idea to post favourite music videos here so that when we are getting wired up, we can come here and chill out. Here are three of my favourite music videos:

[Jules]

Here is my favourite track of all time:

I am also extremely fond of:

You might not consider it very relaxing but I like to dance, which is.

Jules

I like dance music too, Jules:

In keeping with the "chill out" theme, I'd like to offer this:

or something a bit more fun - skip to about 1 minute for the actual performance:

Great videos all. Loving the music and the chillness here :)
My 2 contributions +1:
Some may find this really weird but I love it.

Another weird one maybe but it soooo good:

I hope you enjoy.

Oh one more, if you dont mind listening. A bit more mainstream, but definitely chill:

One more, stunning timelapse photography of the Outback,

I use to listen to this song sometimes while I happen to be driving on the highway at nights for some reason. Its pretty soothing for that. It's called Voyageur, so I guess it fits- :)

...and also this one - Killing joke - Love like blood
I you have happen to see the sci/fi movie Immortel (ad vitam) you will recognize the video.

Nice to see a fellow appreciator of Enigma! :D And I love the idea for the thread (as well as the new forum in general, even though it came as a complete surprise from nowhere, and especially as I had just gotten over the hump of 1k posts on the old one ;D), so I'm going to contribute some of the music I enjoy :)

Yeah, it's a bit of everything :D

Yeah Enigma are great. Extremely relaxing to listen to while you drive.
It pains me though that one of their better songs (Principles Of Lust ) were "hi-jacked" by Randi as an opening song to his speeches. But I try to disregard that when I listen to it ;) >>

Steve Vai - "For The Love Of God" - G3 1996

Steve Vai is great. I think I came across him the first time when I watched the movie Crossroads. The solos/music there are great (he wrote them all (except some of the classical I think), and played them all

No video action, but here is King Crimson's take on the blues:

Yes, I love Enigma too. My favourite is the "Gravity of Love":

Turn around and smell what you don't see
Close your eyes ... it's so clear
Here's the mirror, behind there is a screen
On both ways you can get in.
Don't think twice before you listen to your heart,
Follow the trace for a new start.
What you need and everything you'll feel
Is just a question of the deal.
In the eye of storm you'll see a lonely dove
The experience of survival is the key
To the gravity of love.

"O Fortuna velut Luna"

[Whispers:]
[Woman :]
The path of excess leads to the tower of Wisdom
[Man :]
The path of excess leads to the tower of Wisdom

Try to think about it...
That's the chance to live your life and discover
What it is, what's the gravity of love

"O Fortuna velut Luna"

Look around just people, can you hear their voice
Find the one who'll guide you to the limits of your choice.
But if you're in the eye of storm
Just think of the lonely dove
The experience of survival is the key
To the gravity of love.

Here's a video which imagery and music makes it pretty dreamy and "far out"

Here is one I think some people here might like.
Its a song that really will stick with you the more you listen to it.

Ha! The song from the film Broen/Bron (The Bridge)! I watched that series a couple of times but didn't stop to think the opening music might be a clip from a song.

Tack så mycket, Pollux!
